Meet Doug
Doug Shoumaker, Psy.S., LSP, NCSP is a licensed school psychologist in the state of Florida with experience in the public school and private practice settings. He has worked at all school levels, including students from pre-kindergarten through college. His public school experience along with his clinical and judicial system settings provides him with an understanding of the 504 and ESE eligibility requirements to better help parents and students navigate these processes.

Doug earned his bacheloru2019s degree in Psychology from Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL and his Masteru2019s and Specialist degrees in School Psychology from the University of Louisiana – Monroe, LA. He will be completing his Ph.D in School Psychology from Texas Tech University this year.

He is currently is licensed to practice psychology in Florida, Texas, Colorado, Tennessee, Alaska, Arizona, Delaware, Alaska, and Minnesota.
In addition to his Florida licensure, Doug is working on his certification in Crisis Intervention and Domestic Violence from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA.

- Licensed Psychologist by the Florida Department of Health & Hospitals
- Certificate in School Psychology through the Florida Department of Education
- Youth Mental Health First Aid
- Psychological First Aid
- Specialized training in Crisis Intervention and Domestic Violence
Doug is a native of Texas, but has lived in many other states, including international practice in Germany. When not working with children and their parents, Doug enjoys traveling, writing music, photography, and long walks on the beach.
